The Four Seasons and Community continued their successful collaboration with a brand identity for Hokule’a, a café by day and lounge by night, located in the new five-star Oahu resort at Ko Olina.
Named for the guiding light that illuminates the way for navigators of the Hawaiian Islands, we developed a contemporary brand inspired by the skies, imagined by the seas, and guided by the stars. Within the primary wordmark are two thoughtfully designed brand marks highlighting a specific part of the Hokule’a experience. The O with a vertical line down the centre represents coffee, while the U with a horizontal line through the middle represents a cocktail, creating a visual shorthand that speaks to different offerings at different times of the day. We also developed three distinct geometrical patterns that elegantly reference navigation and give Hokule’a a dynamic, modern flair.
